A dinner reception open to female attendees and members of the Grete Hermann Network will take place on September, 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Restaurant & Weinhaus zum Stachel.
Located in Würzburg’s Old Town, close to the Unterer Markt, the Weinhaus zum Stachel is one of the city’s most historic inns. The restaurant is situated in the Hof zum Stachel, a listed historic building whose oldest surviving feature is a Romanesque double portal dating from around 1200.
The dinner will provide GHN members with an opportunity to meet in person, exchange ideas and experiences, and connect in an informal setting. We will walk there together after the Career Path session – it is a short 10-minute walk.
Attendance is free of charge, but participation is limited to 30 people. To reserve a place, please contact Alina Markova.
There will be a GHN table at the conference venue during the lunch break on Thursday, October 1. It will offer an opportunity for conference participants to learn more about the Grete Hermann Network and connect with others in an informal setting.
GHN members and female attendees are especially welcome to join the table for a GHN Stammtisch and to exchange ideas, strengthen their network, and enjoy a relaxed lunch-break gathering.

The Grete Hermann Network (GHN) is an international network of female researchers in condensed matter physics and neighboring research areas, involving both junior researchers and experienced professors. It is a part of the Cluster of Excellence ctd.qmat.
The goals of the GHN are to provide networking and mentoring, to increase visibility of female senior scientists as role models, and to create a comprehensive pool of female researchers in the Cluster's research areas in view of future hirings for professorships and further permanent positions.
